My darling!
Today, too, I'm afraid I can't manage more than a few lines. Why can't you ever get quite fresh again? I can only make the correction of the messages 1Refers to No. VI of the Scholl messages, which appeared in February 1908. after all on the way to Budapest. The express train from Leipzig to St. Gallen caused me a lot of trouble. It was delayed. I missed the connection in Munich, and I only just managed to arrive in St. Gallen shortly before the public lecture. But there was a lot to do here this time.
So I'm off to Budapest this evening. Maybe my darling will write a few lines from there. That would be better than just the naive handwriting of the dear weasel.
If only it were possible to relieve you through Wollisch 2Vittoria Wollisch, member since 1906 in Stuttgart, later in Florence. The assistance in Berlin mentioned in this letter did not materialize. possible to relieve you. Our Munich ladies see the matter quite well, without any subjective feelings, and they have probably also had a quite good effect on Wollisch here. I myself could only talk to her a little about this, and in the end I didn't think it was necessary. But I did discuss Wollisch's report with the ladies, and I will tell you everything about it, as it's not really possible to do so in writing.

Mein Liebling!
Auch heute kann es leider über ein paar Zeilen nicht hinauskommen. Warum nur wirst Du mir gar nicht wieder ganz frisch? Die Korrektur der Mitteilungen 1Bezieht sich auf Nr. VI der Scholl-Mitteilungen, welche im Februar 1908 erschien. kann ich nun wohl doch nur machen auf dem Weg nach Budapest. Denn der Expresszug, der von Leipzig nach St. Gallen ging, machte mir viel Schererei. Er machte Verspätung. Anschluss wurde in München versäumt, und mit Knappheit kam ich eben noch kurz vor dem öffentlichen Vortrag in St. Gallen an. Hier aber ist diesmal viel zu tun gewesen.
Heut abend geht’s also nach Budapest. Vielleicht sind dort doch ein paar Zeilen von meinem Liebling. Das wäre doch besser als bloß die naive Handschrift des guten Wiesels.
Wenn es doch nur durch Wollisch 2Vittoria Wollisch, Mitglied seit 1906 in Stuttgart, später in Florenz. Die in diesem Brief angesprochene Mitarbeit in Berlin kam nicht zustande. möglich wäre, Dich zu entlasten. Unsere Münchener Damen sehen die Sache doch ganz gut an, ohne irgend unsachliche Gefühle, Sie haben wohl auch ganz gut auf Wollisch hier gewirkt. Ich selbst konnte nur wenig mit dieser selbst sprechen, fand das auch schließlich nicht notwendig. Aber mit den Damen habe ich doch auch deren Apergus durchgesprochen, und werde diesbezüglich Dir alles sagen, was jetzt doch schriftlich nicht recht geht.
